Delete your account and data

How to ask us to erase your account and the personal data we hold about you.

How to request deletion

Send an email to [email protected] with the subject line "Delete my account".

  • Send the email from the address you use to sign in, so we can confirm the request is yours. If you signed up with Google or Facebook, this is the email address on that account.
  • You do not need to give a reason.

We confirm by email once the deletion is complete. This normally takes no more than 30 days.

What we delete

  • Your login, including any Google or Facebook connection. You can no longer sign in, and the email address is free to sign up again.
  • The personal data in your account: your name, email address, phone number, address, and everything you entered in your will, such as your NRIC, beneficiaries, executors and the Schedule of Assets.
  • Every will document we generated for you.
  • Any active subscription. We cancel it immediately.

Deletion is permanent. We cannot restore an account or a will after it is deleted. Download a copy of your will first if you want to keep it.

What we keep

We keep payment records (invoices and payment history) for the period required by Singapore law for financial record-keeping. These records are kept only for that purpose and are deleted when the retention period ends.

Signed in with Facebook or Google?

Deleting your MakeGoodwill account removes the data we received from Facebook or Google. It does not change your Facebook or Google account. You can also remove MakeGoodwill from the list of apps connected to your Facebook or Google account at any time; doing so stops that login from working but does not delete your MakeGoodwill data, so send us the request above as well.
